Brewing Art and Feline Charm: My Commissioned Painting for Purr Life Cat Resort’s Newest Location

I’m excited to share a recent project! I had the wonderful opportunity to create a commissioned painting for Purr Life Cat Resort, specifically for their newest location in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. This unique piece combines two of life’s simple joys: coffee and cats.
A Sip of Inspiration
The vision behind this painting was to celebrate the cozy, welcoming atmosphere of Purr Life Cat Resort’s new location. The resort wanted a piece that would beautifully capture their coffee station and for it to of course be cat themed! The result is an enchanting artwork that brings together the comfort of a coffeehouse and the playful spirit of their beloved cats.
Capturing Feline Personalities
For this commission, I had the pleasure of using actual cats from Purr Life Cat Resort as references. Each cat depicted in the painting is inspired by the real feline residents who have found a loving home at the resort. I aimed to portray their unique personalities and endearing quirks, making sure each cat's individuality shines through.
The painting features a whimsical coffee shop scene where the cats are seen lounging, playing, and enjoying their cozy surroundings. Using acrylics, I focused on vibrant colors and detailed textures to evoke a sense of warmth and charm that mirrors the atmosphere of the resort.

Creating this piece was an enriching journey of creativity and connection. I started by sketching out the composition, integrating elements that highlight the theme of coffee and cats.
